If you are like me you may still have some lingerie from years ago that you just have not thrown out because it is still perfectly good…however, since I have not wore it since 1995 it may not fit me now. haha! Trying on IS KEY !
THINK VARIETY
The more variety the more photo choices you will have. The new tummy tuck panty lingerie sets are really fantastic and can give you that little boost of confidence and still look HOT!!
Bra tip: If you are a B or smaller find a bra that has lace around the top of the cup. It will make you look a whole size bigger in photos. Can’t find one? You can sew lace in yourself.
SOMETHING OF HIS
Bring something that belongs to your spouse. One of their button up shirts and/or his tie for example. If you or your spouse is a sports fans wear a sports jersey with some knee high socks. You could even take it a step further and order their favorite team jersey with your name on it or the words sexy. Be creative. The more you put into it, the more they will be blown away. I have had ladies bring golf clubs, surf boards, jerseys, guns, bows you name it. Incorporating a few items to make it a mor personal sessions is always a hit !
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX
Have fun with your outfit choices and jewelry. You can choose bright colors I can make them all work. Wear your favorite pair of cowgirl boots and cowgirl hat or if you think your spouse would love you in a nurse’s outfit – go for it! Try out something totally off the wall and fun! It can make for a fun and creative photo.
RED IS THE NEW BLACK
Many women come to their shoot with almost all black lingerie…and thats ok, but DONT BE AFRAID to Bring color!! The more variety the better. Red is always awesome ! If black is your thing don't fret, I just want you to know that you shouldn't be afraid to bring color, bright, bold and awesome. The stigma is that we have to stay with black and red, and that is not the case !
THREE INCHES OR MORE
And most of all don’t forget to bring some killer high heels! Nude heels can go with many outfit choices. Black heels are a staple. However, anything strappy, studded or with bling is a must bring. The higher the better, your standing not walking :). Try to stay away from platform and wedges for your shoot. I also have alot of stilettos at the studio
Mani-Pedi. Do it. Get your nails done before your shoot.
Some of our specialized sets I have recommendations for, after shooting on them I've come up with a list with what I see typically looks and works the best:
( SEASONAL ONLY) Creek Sessions: We do not recommend green as you will blend in ! Any other colors will work well. Bring water shoes and or flip flops to get in and out of shoes quickly and to wear into the water as some areas have river rock. Everything stated above will work, however do remember bug spray that you love. We will have a thermocell there to help combat bugs as well. Flowing see through robes and lace look great in the water as well ! Think boho, long flowing, kimonos, bodysuits and topless with lace panties ! Lacy swimsuit cover upas are awesome as well
Shower set: Light colored thong or panties is best. I will have white cami's at the studio for that wet t-shirt look. This set is GREAT for topless shots, its dark and moody and very sexy. Jump out of your comfort zone and do a few, you won't regret it !
Our 6 foot VS inspired Ostrich Feathered wings make it into most of the sessions we do. They are simply bad ass and they are a crowd fave. Think glam and glitz, long earrings, a thong is a must weather it be alone and topless, or as a full piece of lingerie. Really any color works as they are neutral in color. Bad ass heels are a must with the wings, I have several pair of black at the studio if you do not have any. Think sparkly jewlery !
Some things to remember ! IMPORTANT ***
Deodorant. Yeoww. Big white patches under your arms are definitely not a good look (and not easy for me to fix.) choose clear if you can
Don't overdo it with tanning. Sunburn is not a good look, and cannot be fixed. If you are getting a spray tan be sure it is several days before your session. Baby doll outfits while I do love them, I will be honest, they are not flattering on most ladies while posing. We often flock to them as we feel they will hide our mid section better but in many of the poses we do, they end up hanging in a weird way. For example, if you are on your hands and knees with this type of outfit, it will hang down and not stay close to your body, same in the seated poses, it will bunch up and actually make you appear larger than you are. If you feel most comfortable in them, feel free to bring one. I wouldn't make all your outfits of this nature. We often feel as though baggy is better and in the case of boudoir and posing form fitting is best <3 You'll just have to trust me on this one ;) Do not wear any body makeup, body powder or bronzers. It rubs off and then your skin will appear blotchy and or spotted :/
Get a good nights sleep the night before. I can fix a lot of things, but a tired face isn't one of them. I know your probably nervous and I totally get it. This will be a blast, and you wont regret one minute it of it. Relax, unwind and your session will be here before you know it. Don't forget I also offer consult over zoom and you can reach me on the studio text line with questions. If your super nervous, not sure who I am, have wardrobe concerns etc lets chat over zoom. You'll get to see me, chat with me and I will ease your fears. These sessions are so very empowering and so much fun. I will walk you through all the posing and coach you on facial expressions at your session, you need not worry about a thing !
See you at your session
